Watch Jon Gosselin: Rabbi Shmuley Opened 'Up the Doors to my Emotions' Online
Rabbi Shmuley Boteach and Jon Gosselin sat down Sunday night at West Side Synagogue in New York. The two discussed "The Ethical Challenges and Moral Responsibility of Celebrity," according to This World, the hosting organization. ET spoke to the two keynote speakers after the event. Rabbi Shmuley explained why he and Jon used this platform to spread their message. He said, "For Jon Gosselin to courageously and boldly take responsibility for his actions and admit that many of them contravene many [facets] of his own internal value system and to apologize for them was not only courageous, it was phenomenal progress and I hope that it will inspire other husbands in the same situation to do the same thing." The spiritual advisor said, "When you have eight children, they require a lot of time at the best of times. And if they’re going through some of the worst of times, I think that the kids really need that priority."
