Description:

18 Kids and Counting formerly known as 17 Kids and Counting is the American television show that follows around the Duggar family. The family is made up of Jim Bob who is the father and Michelle who is the mother. They have 19 children now, 18 children in previous episodes. All of their children will have names that consist with the letter J.

The series has had 10 seasons with the latter of them beginning in August of 2012.

Michelle and Jim Bob live in Tontitown, Arkansas. The show originally aired on channels TLC and on Discovery Health. Many of the seasons and episodes will center on the last five deliveries of Michelle.

A love story is shown between Jim Bob and Michelle who treat each other as they did back in the early 80's when they first met. Jim Bob and Michelle married in July of 1984. When Jim Bob and Michelle decided to have more children, Michelle suffered a miscarriage. It would later be revealed that the child they had lost would be named Caleb. They did not know if the baby was a male or female but named the baby anyways. They believed that the birth control was related to the death of the baby and decided against using it any further. Jim Bob and Michelle would later on suffer another loss which would actually air on television about suffering another loss after she had already miscarried one baby.

In one of the episodes, you will see that their son now has a child of his own and has had a baby close in age to a sister of his now. The family continues to grow during the taping of the show either to Michelle expanding her family or one of the children marrying.

Michelle and Jim Bob will use the buddy system in order to keep track of all the children. They will take various trips to cities around the world which viewers at home will get to see when watching the show.
