Ep 8. Time Will Tell

Sydney Bristow, a skilled spy, is tasked with retrieving information from an agricultural company's executive. She infiltrates the company's headquarters posing as a job interviewer. The executive is hesitant to comply and tries to escape when he realizes Sydney's true intentions. A chase ensues, and Sydney is forced to use her fighting skills to take him down.

Meanwhile, Sydney's father, Jack Bristow, is tasked with finding a device that turns sound into energy. This device is being sought after by a group of mercenaries who plan to sell the device on the black market. Jack tracks down the device but is ambushed by the mercenaries. He manages to escape after a gunfight, but the device is missing.

Sydney learns that the device is aimed at destroying buildings, and the mercenaries plan to use it for nefarious purposes. She contacts her father and tells him about the device. Both of them understand the gravity of the situation and the need to retrieve the device before it's too late.

While Sydney and her team try to track the mercenaries, one of her colleagues, Will, continues to investigate her mother's murder. He stumbles upon a clue that leads him to believe that Sydney's mother was, in fact, an American spy.

As Sydney and her team continue to track the mercenaries, they come across the device. A fight ensues, and Sydney manages to obtain the device while also defeating the mercenaries. With the device now in their possession, Sydney and her father have a race against time to figure out who was behind the attack and prevent any further attempts from groups seeking to obtain the device.

The episode ends with Will telling Sydney about his discovery concerning her mother. Sydney is left stunned, and the audience is left wondering about the connection between Sydney's mother and her father's work as a spy.
