Detective Jake Peralta and the team of the 99th precinct in Brooklyn return for another exciting episode in Season 2 of Brooklyn Nine-Nine. In this episode, titled "Chocolate Milk", Jake is forced to confront his past when his childhood hero, Jimmy Brogan, makes an unwelcome appearance.

As the episode starts, the precinct is abuzz with excitement as the annual Halloween Heist is about to begin. The heist, which is a tradition at the precinct, pits detectives against one another as they compete to steal a coveted prize - the title of Ultimate Detective/Genius. The stakes are high and everyone is determined to win, including Jake, who has never won the heist before.

Just as the event is about to kick off, Jimmy Brogan, a former NYPD detective, walks into the precinct. Jimmy is Jake's childhood hero and the reason that Jake became a detective. However, Jimmy's sudden return brings up some troubling memories for Jake, as he starts to remember some of the less savory aspects of his hero's past.

Over the course of the episode, the team bands together to figure out why Jimmy has returned and what he is up to. Along the way, they also have to contend with some of Jimmy's associates who are causing trouble in the city. In the midst of all of this chaos, Jake and Jimmy have a heart-to-heart about their past and what it means for their relationship moving forward.

One of the highlights of this episode is the humor. As always, Brooklyn Nine-Nine is full of hilarious moments and quippy one-liners. Some of the standout moments include Terry Crews' character, Sergeant Terry Jeffords, dressing up as Michael Jordan and Gina Linetti, played by Chelsea Peretti, being her usual sassy self.

Another standout feature of this episode is the character development. Over the course of the show, we have seen Jake go through various trials and tribulations, but this episode really delves into his backstory and sheds some light on why he became a detective in the first place. We also get to see a softer side of Jake as he grapples with his hero's less than stellar past.

Overall, "Chocolate Milk" is a strong episode of Brooklyn Nine-Nine that delivers on both humor and heart. The Halloween Heist adds a fun element of competition and the return of Jimmy Brogan provides an interesting twist to the story. Fans of the show will not be disappointed and new viewers will definitely be hooked.
