Ep 4. Worldwide Flavorfest

In season 21 episode 4 of Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives named Worldwide Flavorfest, host Guy Fieri travels across the globe to taste some of the best food. The episode features six different establishments with six unique recipes.

The first stop on Guy's world tour is in Lithuania where he visits a small restaurant that serves traditional Lithuanian cuisine. The owners of the restaurant share their passion for their culture's food and show Guy how they make their famous cepelinai, a dish made of mashed potatoes stuffed with meat and served with sour cream.

The next stop takes Guy to South America, where he visits a family-owned restaurant that specializes in Peruvian cuisine. Guy is amazed by the variety of flavors in the dishes he tries, from the spicy aji de gallina to the refreshing ceviche.

Then, Guy travels to the heart of India to taste some of the best street food in the world. He visits a food cart that serves all-time favorite Indian snacks, such as samosas, pav bhaji and dabeli. Despite the heat and the chaos of the crowded streets, the food is simply delicious.

Moving on to the third continent, Guy flies to Africa to visit a restaurant in Morocco famous for its tagine, a slow-cooked stew made of seasonings, vegetables and meat. The owner of the restaurant shows Guy how to cook a tagine and shares some of the secrets of Moroccan cooking.

Next, Guy travels to Korea to try some of the best Korean barbecue. He visits a restaurant where they grill the meat right in front of their customers. Not only is the meat juicy and flavorful, but the experience of cooking it is also entertaining.

Finally, Guy heads to Australia to visit a fish market where he tries an Australian favorite, the fish and chips. The fish is caught fresh daily and the chips are made on site. Guy learns about the history of fish and chips in Australia and why it has become such a staple in the country.

Throughout the episode, Guy is constantly amazed by the variety of flavors and techniques used in each cuisine. He is impressed by the passion that each restaurant owner has for their food and the pride they take in sharing it with others.

In the end, Guy can't decide which dish is his favorite. He realizes that every cuisine has something unique and delicious to offer, and he feels grateful to have been able to take a culinary trip around the world in one episode.
