Monsters vs. Aliens is an animated television series created by DreamWorks Animation for Nickelodeon. The show follows the lives of a group of monsters who work for the U.S. government and are tasked with protecting the planet from an invading alien force. The main character, Susan Murphy (voiced by Riki Lindhome), was just a regular woman until a meteorite hit her on her wedding day, causing her to grow to an enormous size. Renamed "Ginormica," she is recruited by General W.R. Monger (voiced by Kiefer Sutherland) to join a team of other monsters, including Dr. Cockroach (Chris O'Dowd), The Missing Link (Will Arnett), Insectosaurus (Fred Tatasciore), and B.O.B. (Seth Rogen).

Together, they must use their unique abilities to fight against an army of aliens led by the evil Gallaxhar (Jeffrey Tambor), who seeks to acquire the quantonium within Ginormica in order to power his ultimate weapon.

The show is a combination of action, comedy, and science-fiction, with each episode featuring a new threat to Earth that the monsters must overcome. However, as the series progresses, it becomes clear that the show also tackles themes of friendship, acceptance, and finding one's place in the world.

One of the most memorable aspects of Monsters vs. Aliens is the humor. The show manages to balance slapstick gags with clever wordplay and pop culture references, making it entertaining for both adults and children.

The voice acting is top notch, with each actor delivering their lines with enthusiasm and energy. Chris O'Dowd stands out as the eccentric Dr. Cockroach, who is constantly tinkering with gadgets and concoctions in his laboratory. Eric Edelstein as The Missing Link brings his signature deadpan humor to the role, while Diedrich Bader as the dim-witted B.O.B. steals scenes with his childlike innocence and love for all things gelatinous.

Monsters vs. Aliens also features impressive animation, with vibrant colors and smooth movements that bring the monsters to life. The designs for each character are unique and memorable, with Ginormica's towering height and Insectosaurus' massive size providing a stark contrast to the more humanoid monsters.

Overall, Monsters vs. Aliens is a fun and engaging show that will appeal to both children and adults. With memorable characters, clever humor, and thrilling action sequences, it is sure to leave a lasting impression on those who watch it.

Monsters vs. Aliens is a series that is currently running and has 2 seasons (38 episodes). The series first aired on March 23, 2013.
