Ep 3. Watching the Detectives

Barry Allen, aka The Flash, returns in episode 3 of season 1, titled "Watching the Detectives." After officially becoming the city's hero, he now has plenty of duties to attend to. In this episode, Barry puts his speed to good use by trying to prevent a robbery from taking place at a jewelry store. However, things don't go according to plan.

The jewel thief, known as the Mist, manages to hold up the store and even injures a security guard in the process. The Flash's heroism doesn't go unnoticed, and the city police force starts to catch on to his regular appearances in situations like this. In particular, Detective Joe West, who is also Barry's surrogate father, has his own suspicions and begins to investigate The Flash's true identity.

As Detective West and his partner, Detective Eddie Thawne, continue to try and piece together the mysterious string of crimes committed by the Mist, they become more and more suspicious of The Flash's involvement. Barry is forced to come up with his own plan to prove his innocence and throw them off his tail.

In the midst of all this drama, Barry must also deal with the return of his childhood friend, Iris West. Although they haven't seen each other in years, Barry has been secretly in love with Iris for as long as he can remember. However, she currently has a boyfriend, Eddie Thawne, and their rekindled friendship is starting to add some complications to everyone's lives.

Barry's powers as The Flash continue to develop, and he's beginning to realize that he may not be the only one with extraordinary abilities. Throughout the episode, he's trying to figure out if he's the only metahuman, or if there are others like him lurking in the shadows.

The special effects in this episode are once again impressive, as The Flash races through the city at lightning speeds, dodging bullets and stopping crimes left and right. It also showcases the tension between Barry and the detectives, adding a new layer of suspense to the show. The romantic subplot between Barry and Iris also begins to take center stage, providing some emotional depth to the action-packed show.

Overall, "Watching the Detectives" is a thrilling addition to The Flash's first season. With complex relationships, intriguing mysteries and plenty of superhero action, it's a must-watch for fans of the show and the comic book genre.
