The episode starts off with a visit to Al's Beef, a Chicago institution since 1938. The host, Marc Summers, introduces us to Greg Morelli, the current owner of the establishment who shares the history of Chicago's famous Italian beef sandwich. The Malnati family started their pizza business back in the 1940s, and the current owner, Marc Malnati, explains how they have refined their recipe over the years. The host gets to witness the preparation of their signature pizza, which includes a buttery crust, tomato sauce, and lots of cheese. They even show us how they cut the pizza using a special knife and fork to prevent the cheese from sticking to the blade.

The show then takes us to the famous Garrett Popcorn Shops, which have been in business since 1949. We get to see how they prepare their caramel and cheese popcorn mix, which is a Chicago classic. We learn that the popcorn was originally served as a savory snack but was later transformed into a sweet and salty treat. The host also gets to taste their new dark chocolate-covered popcorn, which has become a popular addition to their menu.

We then visit the Hard Rock Cafe, another Chicago landmark, to learn about their legendary Jumbo Combo. The host meets with Executive Chef, Todd Hlad, who explains how this dish has been on the menu since the early days of the restaurant. The Jumbo Combo is a platter that includes a selection of their most popular appetizers, including onion rings, wings, and potato skins. We get to see how each item is prepared and plated, and the host even tries his hand at making their famous signature sauce.

Finally, the show takes us to Eli's Cheesecake, a bakery that has been making cheesecakes for over 40 years. We get to meet with founder Eli Schulman's daughter, Maureen, who shares the secret to their delicious cakes. She explains that their cheesecakes are made using the finest ingredients and are baked in small batches to ensure consistency.
