As Jihoon and Deavan continue to fight over their trust issues, Deavan becomes more and more frustrated with Jihoon's lack of effort to fix their problems. In an attempt to mend their relationship, Jihoon takes Deavan to a temple to pray for their love, but Deavan is still hesitant to completely open up to him.
Meanwhile, Ari struggles with her decision to stay in Ethiopia and raise her son with Biniyam. As her due date approaches, she worries about giving birth in a foreign country and the cultural differences between her and Biniyam. They attend a traditional Ethiopian wedding, where Ari feels out of place and overwhelmed. Biniyam tries to reassure her, but the stress of everything has Ari questioning her choices and future with Biniyam.
Brittany and Yazan face their own challenges as they continue to navigate their relationship in Jordan. Brittany, who is still legally married to her ex, worries about the consequences of their relationship being discovered. She asks Yazan if they can keep their relationship private for a little longer, but Yazan thinks it's time to tell his family. When they finally do tell his parents, the reaction is not what they were hoping for.
Elsewhere in Ethiopia, Jenny and Sumit are faced with the reality of their age difference as Jenny turns 62. Sumit's family is still not accepting of their relationship and his mother continues to pressure him to end things with Jenny. The couple tries to celebrate Jenny's birthday, but the tension with Sumit's family weighs heavily on them.
Lastly, Kenneth and Armando try to move forward with their plans to get married, but are met with more obstacles. They travel to a lawyer to see what their options are, but the process is more difficult than they anticipated. Armando struggles with the thought of coming out to his extended family and worries about their acceptance of their relationship.
As the season comes to a close, each couples' future hangs in the balance as they continue to navigate the challenges of love, culture, and family.
