During Episode 12 of Antiques Road Trip season 1, the expert antique dealers Angus Ashworth and James Braxton embark on a thrilling adventure across the heart of England in a quest to find some of the most valuable and unique antiques. The dynamic duo travel through picturesque countryside villages in their classic car and visit various antique shops, auctions, and markets to seek out hidden treasures.
In this episode, Angus and James start their journey by stopping at an antique shop in the town of Northamptonshire, where they come across a beautiful Victorian porcelain vase which they think could be worth a considerable sum. After bargaining with the shop owner, they manage to snag the vase for a good deal.
Next, the antiques enthusiasts make their way to a farm in the countryside, where they explore the property's barn and come across a set of vintage equipment that used to belong to a local blacksmith. They check the equipment's authenticity and are delighted to find out that it dates back to the early 19th century, and is a massive antique find. Angus and James then head to an auction house in the same area, where they plan to sell the equipment for a fortune.
As they continue their journey, the duo makes a pit stop at a market in the village of Warwickshire, where they come across a quaint little vintage shop. Inside the store, they find an unusual metal sculpture and are fascinated by its intricate details. They learn that the sculpture was created by a famous artist and is a rare find. James manages to sway the shop owner to sell it for a good price, and they add it to their list of valuable antiques.
After a fruitful day of treasure hunting, the pair decides to head to their next destination in style - by taking a boat ride across a river. They enjoy the scenic beauty and the refreshing breeze of the countryside as they make their way towards a grand manor house in the region of Shropshire. Here, they come across an impressive collection of antique furniture dating back to the 17th century. They explore the mansion's many rooms and are awestruck by the exquisite craftsmanship displayed in the furniture.
Towards the end of the episode, Angus and James visit a local antique dealer in Cheshire, who has a rare find that they have been searching for. It's an antique silver teapot from the Georgian era which they believe can fetch them a high price at an upcoming auction. With their collection of antiques complete, the two expert dealers return to the auction house to see how much their finds are worth.
At the auction, the antiques go under the hammer, and Angus and James are thrilled to see the bids climbing higher and higher. The auctioneer hammers down on a final bid, and the duo realizes they've made a substantial profit.
In the end, Episode 12 of Antiques Road Trip season 1 comes to an exciting conclusion as Angus and James reflect on their successful day of antique hunting.
