Ep 1. Pilot

Ryan Wilder, a police detective, is involved in a car accident with his wife Hannah and son Rex when they go on vacation. When Ryan wakes up from the accident, he finds himself in two different universes. In one universe, his wife survived, but his son did not. In the other universe, it's the opposite, and his wife died, but his son survived. The two universes are so realistic that Ryan cannot tell which one is real.

Ryan tries to carry on with his life in both universes, but it's becoming increasingly difficult for him to maintain his sanity as he can't figure out which world is real. Despite seeking help from therapists in both worlds, he can't seem to find a way to cope with the reality of his situation.

In the universe where his wife is alive, Ryan throws himself into his work and tries to solve a case involving a kidnapping. However, he finds it difficult to keep a clear head as he's haunted by memories from the other universe where his son is alive. In this universe, his partner is a therapist named Dr. Evans, who tries to help him cope with his grief.

In the other universe where his son is alive, Ryan's partner is Detective Vega. He tries to navigate his way through the department's bureaucracy while trying to solve another kidnapping case. In this universe, his therapist is Dr. Lee.

As the episode progresses, Ryan tries to figure out a way to make sense of his situation. He starts to notice that events and people from one universe bleed over into the other, and he wonders if this is a sign that the two universes are somehow connected.

The two cases that Ryan is working on in each universe seem to be connected. In one universe, he finds a clue that he thinks might help him solve the case in the other universe. Meanwhile, in the universe where his wife is alive, he discovers that the kidnapper might be someone close to him.

The episode ends with Ryan stuck between two worlds, unsure of what to do. When he's in one universe, he's haunted by memories of the other, and he can't seem to escape the grief that is holding him back.
