Ep 7. The Man in Number 9

Norma and Norman are still at odds over the secrets they are keeping from each other. Meanwhile, the Bates Motel has a new guest, who goes by the name of Jake Abernathy and he is staying in Room Number 9. Norma is on edge as she recognizes that name and his presence in town makes her incredibly nervous. Norman notices his mother's apprehension and curiosity starts to arise.

Norman becomes more intrigued and curious about Jake after they briefly meet outside of the motel. Later on, he asks Dylan for some information about Jake, which leads him to his cabin in the woods. There, Norman uncovers some unsettling information.

In the meantime, Norma receives a package from Jake, which only heightens her fears, and sends her on a hunt for answers. She goes to confront Jake in his motel room but instead is greeted by a surprise visitor.

The investigation into the assault on Miss Watson continues, with Sheriff Romero and his team making progress in their search for the attacker. Dylan wants nothing to do with the investigation, but he is forced to face his involvement when the police come knocking at his door.

As tensions build between the Bates family and the rest of the town, the secrets they have been keeping begin to unravel in unforeseen ways. This episode explores the darker secrets hidden within the small town of White Pine Bay and leaves viewers questioning what other secrets the Bates family is hiding.
