Ep 8. Defense and Third Event

In episode 8 of BOFURI: I Don't Want to Get Hurt, so I'll Max Out My Defense, titled Defense and Third Event, we see Maple and the gang preparing for the upcoming third event of the NewWorld Online game. As usual, Maple being the overpowered player that she is, chooses to focus solely on her defense stats.

In anticipation of the event, the gang decides to undertake some training and preparation to help them better their chances of success in the event. They decide to undertake some quests to increase their skills and gain new items to help in the event.

Maple, however, decides to take a different approach. While everyone else is busy with quests, Maple chooses to focus on a unique skill she recently learned, called 'Perfect Body.' This skill allows the player to completely nullify damage to their body while blocking an attack, but only for a short period. As always, Maple decides to max out her skill level, making her essentially invincible while blocking attacks.

As the event approaches, Maple and the others join forces and head out to the event arena. The event is a team-based battle royale, where each team must eliminate each other while protecting their own base.

As usual, Maple surprises everyone with her unique approach to the game. When the event starts, she immediately runs towards the enemy team's base, using her invincible body skill to block all incoming attacks. This allows her team to focus on eliminating the enemy while Maple acts as the defense fortress.

Despite the enemy team's best efforts, they are unable to penetrate Maple's incredible defense, and her team eventually emerges victorious.

This episode of BOFURI showcases Maple's overpowered abilities yet again, but also touches on the importance of teamwork and strategy. Even though Maple's unique skill allowed her to be nearly invincible, it was her team's strategy and coordination that ultimately secured their victory.
