Ep 2. The Lazy Man's Choice

After Chaika and her group explain their mission and beg for any information Steinmetz, he reveals that the remains they are searching for are likely in the hands of a group of bandits known as the Gillett Corps. However, he is unwilling to put any effort into helping them as he would rather pay the group off with the large sum of money he is holding onto.

Despite his reluctance, Chaika, Tohru, and Akari convince Steinmetz to join them, and they set out to find the Gillett Corps. Along the way, they encounter dangerous obstacles, including a terrifying monster that nearly kills them all.

Eventually, they find the small village where the Gillett Corps is hiding. Here they meet Vivi Holopainen, the leader of the group. Vivi is initially hesitant to hand over the remains, but after learning that Chaika is the daughter of Emperor Gaz, Vivi is more open to giving them up.

However, before they can obtain the remains, they are interrupted by Dominica Skoda and Niko, who have arrived with their own plan to take the remains for themselves. A heated battle ensues, forcing both groups to fight for their lives.

The episode concludes with Chaika, Tohru, and Akari successfully obtaining the remains of the Heroic Emperor, while Dominica and Niko are forced to retreat empty-handed. As they continue on their journey, the group is left to ponder the motives of those who seek the remains of Emperor Gaz, and just how dangerous their search might become.
