Hungry in New Haven is the twelfth episode of the fourth season of the popular food show, Cheap Eats. In this episode, host Ali Khan heads to New Haven, Connecticut, to explore its thriving food scene and find some of the best cheap eats the city has to offer.

First up, Ali visits a local favorite, Elm City Social, to try their famous Donut Burger, a juicy beef patty sandwiched between two glazed donuts. Next, he heads to Meat & Co. for some serious meaty goodness, including their Philly cheesesteak loaded with toppings and a massive beef rib.

Ali also discovers a unique twist on pizza at BAR, a hip bar and restaurant in the heart of New Haven’s arts district. Here, he samples a mashed potato pizza complete with bacon and scallions, as well as a white clam pizza that is a local specialty.

For dessert, Ali checks out Miya’s Sushi, a sustainable sushi spot that puts its own spin on traditional Japanese dishes. He tries their famous Dragon Balls – sweet potato and black bean fritters rolled in sesame seeds and served with a spicy dipping sauce.

Throughout the episode, Ali also meets with the passionate chefs and restaurateurs putting their own unique stamp on New Haven’s food scene. With its mix of classic American eats and international flavors, along with its friendly locals and vibrant culture, this episode of Cheap Eats is sure to leave viewers hungry for more.
