Come Dine with Me is a popular British television cooking show that premiered on Channel 4 in 2005. The reality TV series sees five strangers each host a dinner party in their own home in a bid to impress their guests and win a cash prize of £1,000. Over the course of a week, guests award points for each other’s food, hospitality, and entertainment, with the winner announced at the end of the week.

The 16th episode of the 37th season of the show is set in the vibrant Scottish city of Glasgow. The episode follows five contestants, each with their own unique personality and style, as they compete to be crowned the ultimate dinner party host. Throughout the week, viewers get to witness the highs and lows of each contestant's attempts to wow their guests with delicious food and exceptional entertainment.

The first contestant is a young, ambitious woman named Abigail. She is determined to win, and has prepared a five-course menu that she hopes will impress her guests. Her starter is an innovative take on a Scottish classic, Cullen skink, followed by a homemade haggis main course. However, things don't go quite to plan when her dessert fails to set. Will Abigail be able to save the day or will it be a disaster?

Next up is John, a retired businessman who is a keen cook. John's menu is a tribute to his Scottish heritage, and he has conjured up a mouth-watering starter of smoked salmon with whisky-infused cream. However, John's choice of entertainment leaves his guests divided, with some loving his bagpipe playing, while others cringe at the sound.

Third on the list is Lindsay, a self-confessed perfectionist who prides herself on her fine dining skills. Lindsay's menu is refined and sophisticated, with her main course of Scottish venison receiving high praise. However, the pressure gets to Lindsay when her souffle dessert fails to rise.

Fourth on the list is Murray, a flamboyant hairdresser who loves nothing more than entertaining guests. Murray's menu is modern and eclectic, featuring a fusion of Scottish and international flavors. His guests are wowed by his theatrical presentation of his main course, but some are put off by his larger-than-life personality.

Finally, it's the turn of Alan, a Scottish comedian who is renowned for his wit and humor. Alan's menu is tailored to reflect his love of comedy, and he peppers his dishes with plenty of puns and jokes. His guests are in stitches by the end of the night, but will they score him highly for his food and hospitality?

As the week progresses, tensions rise as the contestants get more competitive. There are accusations of cheating, drunken antics, and plenty of drama. However, there are also heartwarming moments of friendship and camaraderie as the contestants bond over their shared love of food.
