Ep 11. Awakening

In Coppelion season 1 episode 11 titled "Awakening," the Coppelion girls continue their mission to stop the meltdown at the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant. The girls find themselves facing a new enemy - the "ghosts," radioactive beings mutated by the radiation.

Meanwhile, Aoi and Haruto find a room labeled "Medical Research" filled with documents detailing a project involving human cloning. They discover that the Coppelions were created as part of this project to serve as an advanced search and rescue team in disaster zones.

As they continue down the corridor, they stumble upon a room containing a machine labeled "Project Cocytus." They are confronted by Kanon, a clone of Ibara who was created as part of Project Cocytus. Kanon tries to stop the girls from stopping the meltdown, stating that the radiation is the only thing keeping them alive.

During the confrontation, Kanon's programming begins to break down, and she experiences emotions for the first time. She realizes the true meaning of life and sacrifices herself to help the Coppelions stop the meltdown.

The episode ends with the Coppelions successfully stopping the meltdown and the city beginning to recover. However, it is clear that there are still many secrets to be uncovered about their creation and purpose.
