Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives is a popular food show that takes viewers on a culinary journey across America. This family-owned grocery store has been serving the local community since 1922 and is known for their famous sandwiches and homemade sausages. The owners, Joe and Tony, take Fieri on a tour of their store and show him how they make their famous Italian sausage. They also prepare some of their top-selling sandwiches including the godfather, Mafia burger, and the chief. Fieri is blown away by the quality and flavor of their meats and declares these sandwiches the real deal.

After Des Moines, Fieri heads to Omaha, Nebraska to try some of their famous comfort food. He stops at the Dundee Dell, a restaurant that has been around since 1934 and is known for their fish and chips. Fieri meets owner, Tim O'Connor, and tries some of the restaurant's most popular dishes including a traditional fish and chips platter, a creamy clam chowder, and a seafood stew that is jam-packed with flavor. The restaurant also has an impressive selection of scotch which catches Fieri's eye and he decides to try a few of the best ones.

The final stop on the episode is in Lawrence, Kansas, where Fieri visits Ladybird Diner. The restaurant is the brainchild of Meg Heriford, who left a career in academia to follow her passion for baking. Her restaurant specializes in classic American dishes and homemade pies. Fieri tries some of her best dishes including a buttermilk fried chicken biscuit sandwich, a smoked meatloaf sandwich, and an amazing slice of peanut butter and jelly pie. Heriford's pies are legendary and Fieri is blown away by the richness and depth of flavor in every bite.

Overall, Made to Order is a fantastic episode of Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives that showcases some of the best food destinations in the Midwest. Fieri meets some amazing chefs and food enthusiasts who put their heart and soul into every dish they create. Their passion for quality ingredients, traditional recipes, and approachable food is evident in every bite, and viewers will be salivating by the end of the episode.
