In the first episode of the 13th season of Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives, host Guy Fieri takes viewers on a culinary journey through some of the most delicious seafood and sandwich spots in America. Beginning in Seattle, Washington, Fieri visits a joint that specializes in seafood tacos. The owner, who grew up in Mexico, prides himself on his fresh ingredients and homemade tortillas which make his tacos stand out from the rest.

Next, Fieri heads to San Francisco, California to check out a restaurant that serves up some of the best crab sandwiches around. The owner, a fourth-generation crab fisherman, uses only the freshest crab meat caught from the local waters. He even takes Fieri out on his boat to show him how he catches the crabs himself.

After leaving California, Fieri stops in Louisville, Kentucky to visit a deli that's known for its oyster poboy sandwich. The owner, who was born and raised in New Orleans, brings a taste of the Big Easy to the Bluegrass State. Fieri is impressed by the freshness of the oysters, which are shucked daily and fried to perfection.

Next up is a visit to a seafood restaurant in Boston, Massachusetts that serves up some unique dishes. Fieri tries the lobster ravioli, which is stuffed with fresh lobster meat and topped with a creamy tomato sauce. He also samples the fried clams, which are a New England classic. The owner takes Fieri to a local fish market to show him where he gets his fresh seafood.

Finally, Fieri heads to a seafood shack in York, Maine that serves some of the best crab cakes he's ever tasted. The owner, who hails from Maryland, uses a secret family recipe that's been passed down for generations. Fieri tries the crab cakes, which are made with jumbo lump crab meat and served with a homemade remoulade sauce.

Throughout the episode, Fieri not only showcases some amazing dishes, but also highlights the stories and histories behind the different restaurants he visits. From fishermen to immigrants, these owners bring their own unique backgrounds and cultures to the food they create.

Overall, the first episode of season 13 of Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives is a mouth-watering journey through some of the best seafood and sandwich spots in America. Fieri's enthusiasm for the food and the people behind it is infectious and will leave viewers craving some of the dishes he samples.
