In the season 2012 episode 6 of Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives, Guy Fieri visits several restaurants that have been serving delicious food for decades. Guy starts his journey in Louisiana at Mandina's Restaurant, which has been open since 1932. He tries classic dishes like seafood gumbo and a famous po' boy sandwich.

Next up, Guy heads to Bert's Chili, a Detroit institution that has been serving its famous chili recipe for over 80 years. The recipe has remained unchanged and is still cooked in the original copper kettles. Guy tries the chili and also samples some hot dogs topped with Bert's famous chili.

Guy then visits Sam LaGrassa's in Boston, a family-owned deli that has been open since 1968. Guy tries the award-winning pastrami sandwich and a Lobster Roll that is packed with fresh lobster meat.

Finally, Guy heads to Gus's World Famous Fried Chicken in Memphis, Tennessee. Gus's has been serving its delicious fried chicken for over 60 years and has become a staple of the Memphis food scene. Guy tries the spicy fried chicken and also samples some Southern sides like fried okra and baked beans.

Throughout the episode, Guy learns about the history of these restaurants and how they have managed to maintain their popularity over the years. These long-standing legacies have inspired many and remind us of the importance of tradition in the ever-changing food industry.
