Guy Fieri takes his red Camaro to visit some of the best food dives in America in this episode of Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives. This episode, titled Great Gear, features restaurants that not only serve up delicious food but also have some impressive pieces of gear that help them make their signature dishes.

First up is a small cafe in San Francisco that serves up some of the best breakfast sandwiches around. The cafe's claim to fame is their homemade English muffins, which they make using a specially designed griddle that has been in the owner's family for generations. Guy gets a behind-the-scenes look at the griddle and watches as the chefs make their signature breakfast sandwich with homemade sausage, egg, cheese, and avocado.

Next, Guy heads down to Atlanta to visit a diner that has been using the same cast-iron skillet for over 50 years. The diner's signature dish is a crispy fried chicken breakfast sandwich, which they make by first frying the chicken in the cast-iron skillet and then serving it up on a toasted hoagie roll with bacon, cheese, and a homemade honey mustard sauce.

In Los Angeles, Guy visits a tiny food truck that is serving up some of the tastiest tacos around. The secret to their success? A specially designed flat-top griddle that is powered by propane and produces a sear on the meat that locks in the juices and flavors. Guy samples several different types of tacos, all loaded with fresh ingredients and homemade salsa.

Next, Guy heads to Austin to visit a trailer that is serving up gourmet grilled cheese sandwiches. The trailer's owner uses a heavy cast-iron press to grill the sandwiches to perfection, giving them a crispy exterior and a melty, gooey interior. Guy tries the trailer's signature sandwich, which is loaded with smoked brisket, homemade pickles, and a special blend of cheeses.

Finally, Guy wraps up the episode by visiting a diner in New Orleans that is using a giant, old-fashioned rotisserie to make some of the best roast beef po'boy sandwiches in town. The owner takes Guy on a tour of the rotisserie and explains how they slow-cook the beef for hours, resulting in a melt-in-your-mouth sandwich that is topped with lettuce, tomato, and homemade gravy.

Overall, this episode of Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives is all about the impressive gear that these restaurants use to make some of the best food around. From handmade griddles to giant rotisseries, these tools help these chefs create dishes that are truly unforgettable.
