In this episode of Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives, titled "Wonder Women," host Guy Fieri travels across the country to visit restaurants owned and operated by women. These fierce females are breaking barriers and whipping up some truly incredible dishes.

First up is a diner in Minneapolis called Hot Plate. Owner and chef Jessi Peine has worked in some of the best restaurants in the city, but now she's running the show on her own terms. Her signature dish is a breakfast sandwich called The Hangover Helper, which includes hash browns, bacon, and a fried egg all piled on top of a homemade biscuit. Guy also tries her incredible cornflake-breaded fried chicken.

Next, Guy heads to Jacksonville, Florida to visit a Caribbean restaurant called The Potter's House Soul Food Bistro. Owner and chef Asaelyn "AJ" Devlin started out catering for her church and eventually opened her own restaurant. She serves up classic Caribbean dishes like oxtail and jerk chicken, but also puts her own spin on things with dishes like the Jamaican Nachos, which are loaded with pulled pork, cheese, and mango salsa.

In Nashville, Tennessee, Guy visits a restaurant called The Grilled Cheeserie that is owned by husband and wife team Joseph Bogan and Crystal De Luna-Bogan. They started out with a food truck, but now have a brick and mortar store where they serve up artisanal grilled cheese sandwiches. Guy tries the B&B of Tennessee sandwich, which features double crème brie, caramelized onions, and bacon.

The next stop is Phoenix, Arizona to visit a restaurant called Welcome Chicken and Donuts, which is owned by a trio of women. This funky spot serves up fried chicken and gourmet donuts, but also fuses the two together with their chicken and donuts sandwich. Guy also tries their Korean-style wings and their unique donut flavors, like the blueberry lavender.

In San Francisco, California, Guy visits a restaurant called The Front Porch. This cozy spot is run by Sarah Kirnon, who grew up in Barbados and uses her Caribbean roots to influence her dishes. Guy tries her signature fried chicken and also enjoys her seafood gumbo.

The final stop on this episode takes Guy to Kansas City, Missouri to visit a restaurant called Heirloom Bakery and Hearth. Owner and pastry chef Kate Smith is passionate about using local, sustainable ingredients and making everything from scratch. Guy tries her croissant sandwich and also gets a behind-the-scenes look at her bakery where she makes all her incredible breads and pastries.

Overall, this episode of Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives showcases some truly impressive women who are running successful restaurants and creating delicious food. Guy Fieri highlights their incredible stories and dishes, making for a truly enjoyable and inspiring watch.
