Ep 4. Swiss, Sandwiches and Sausage

In season 26 episode 4 of Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives, host Guy Fieri takes viewers on a tour of some of the best Swiss-inspired dishes, sandwiches, and sausages around the country.

The episode kicks off in Milwaukee, Wisconsin at a spot serving up classic Swiss dishes with a modern twist. Fieri tries the classic cheese fondue, made with Swiss and cheddar cheese, and served with a variety of dipping options. From Nashville, Fieri travels to Orlando, Florida to check out a place serving up over-the-top sandwiches. He tries the "Monte Cristo," a sandwich made with ham, turkey, and Swiss cheese, dunked in egg batter, deep-fried, and served with a side of raspberry jam. He also samples the "Banh Mi Reuben," a fusion of two classic sandwiches, with pastrami, sauerkraut, Swiss cheese, and Asian-style pickles.

Finally, Fieri heads to Denver, Colorado, to visit a local spot specializing in all things sausage. He tries the "Bavarian brat," a juicy pork sausage topped with sauerkraut, mustard, and Swiss cheese. He also checks out the lamb and beef "gyro sausage," served in a pita with tzatziki sauce and crispy fries.

Throughout the episode, Fieri meets with the chefs and owners behind each of these unique eateries, learning about their inspiration and techniques for creating these delicious dishes.
