In this episode of Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives, host Guy Fieri takes us on a tour of some of the best neighborhood joints around. These are the places where locals gather to enjoy a good meal, catch up on the latest news, and just hang out with friends and family.

First up, we visit a little spot in Portland, Oregon that's been serving up some serious comfort food for over 60 years. Their specialty dish is a hearty meatloaf made with ground beef, pork and veal, and topped with a tomato-based glaze. They also make a mean mac and cheese, using four different types of cheese to create a creamy, indulgent dish that's sure to satisfy any craving.

Next, we head to a tiny diner in Milwaukee, Wisconsin that's been dishing up classic American fare since the 1950s. Guy samples their famous fried chicken, which is so crispy and juicy, it's been featured on multiple food shows. They also make a killer breakfast, with dishes like fluffy buttermilk pancakes and savory biscuits and gravy.

In Phoenix, Arizona, we check out a cozy little family-owned joint that's been serving up authentic Mexican food for over 40 years. Guy tries their signature dish, a green chile burrito stuffed with tender chunks of pork and smothered in a tangy green sauce. He also gets a taste of their crispy street tacos, filled with flavorful meats and topped with fresh cilantro and onions.

Moving on to Birmingham, Alabama, we discover a hidden gem that's been serving southern-style cuisine for over 60 years. Their specialty dish is a deliciously tender chicken fried steak, smothered in savory gravy and served with a side of creamy mashed potatoes. They also make a delectable fried catfish, which is lightly battered and served with spicy tartar sauce.

In Minneapolis, Minnesota, we visit a cozy little burger joint that's been a neighborhood staple since 1948. Guy tries their classic cheeseburger, which is made with fresh ground beef and topped with melted American cheese, tangy pickles, and crisp lettuce and tomato. He also gets a taste of their unique Juicy Lucy burger, which oozes with melty cheese when you take a bite.

Last but not least, we stop by a classic Italian deli in San Francisco, California that's been serving up delicious sandwiches and homemade pasta for over 80 years. Guy tries their signature sandwich, which is packed with thinly sliced roast beef, tangy horseradish sauce, and crispy onion rings. He also gets a taste of their flavorful meatballs, which are made with a blend of beef, pork, and veal and simmered in a rich tomato sauce.

Throughout the episode, Guy takes the time to chat with the owners and staff of each establishment, learning about the history, culture and traditions that make these neighborhood joints so special. Whether you're a seasoned foodie or a casual diner, Neighborhood Joints is a must-watch episode that celebrates the unique flavors and culinary traditions of America's most beloved neighborhoods.
