Dr. Pimple Popper is a hit show on TLC that documents the work of Dr. Sandra Lee, a dermatologist who specializes in removing some of the most extreme cases of skin conditions and lumps. In season 5 episode 8, titled The Fault in Our Scars, Dr. Lee takes on several cases that involve scars and skin imperfections that are causing patients significant emotional distress.

In one case, Dr. Lee meets with a patient named Ann who is dealing with a scar on her abdomen from a surgery she had several years ago. The scar is raised, discolored, and causes her a lot of embarrassment. Dr. Lee examines the area and determines that it's a hypertrophic scar, which means that it's an overgrowth of tissue. She decides to use a combination of steroid injections and lasers to try and flatten and fade the scar. Ann is extremely nervous about the procedure, but Dr. Lee reassures her that it's a common treatment and that she'll be there to guide her through every step.

In another case, Dr. Lee sees a patient named Felicia who has been dealing with a skin condition called rhinophyma, which causes the nose to become enlarged and bumpy. Felicia is embarrassed to go out in public because of how her nose looks, and says that people often stare and make comments. Dr. Lee examines her nose and decides that the best course of action is to use a combination of lasers, numbing cream, and a surgical tool to precisely sculpt the nose back to a normal shape. Felicia is nervous about the procedure but ultimately decides to go through with it in the hopes of regaining her confidence.

The final case in this episode involves a patient named Mercedes, who has a large, unsightly scar on her leg from a car accident she was in when she was a teenager. Mercedes says that the scar brings up a lot of painful memories for her and that it's a constant reminder of what she went through. Dr. Lee examines the scar and determines that it's a keloid, which is an overgrowth of scar tissue. She decides to use a combination of steroid injections, lasers, and surgical excision to try and remove the keloid and give Mercedes some relief. Mercedes is nervous about the procedure but says that she trusts Dr. Lee and is willing to go through with it.

Throughout the course of the episode, viewers get to see Dr. Lee's incredible surgical skills in action as she helps each of these patients regain their confidence and feel more comfortable in their own skin. The show also touches on the emotional toll that scars and skin conditions can take on a person, and how important it is to have a compassionate and skilled doctor like Dr. Lee who can help guide patients through the treatment process.

Overall, The Fault in Our Scars is a heartwarming and inspiring episode that showcases Dr. Lee's expertise and her commitment to helping people overcome some of the most difficult challenges they may face when it comes to their skin. It's a must-watch for anyone who is a fan of the show or who has dealt with their own skin issues and wants to see how a skilled doctor can make a real difference.
