Ep 5. Getaway

Satoru continues to try to find a way to prevent Kayo's murder, which is only two days away. He plans a trip to the mountains with Kayo and manages to get her mother to agree to it. However, Kayo's abusive mother, Akemi, begins to suspect her daughter is plotting to run away and starts to keep a closer eye on her. Satoru must find a way to get Kayo out of her house without Akemi finding out. Meanwhile, Satoru's mother and Airi become increasingly concerned about Satoru's behavior and his involvement with Kayo. Satoru also receives some unexpected help from a new ally who might know more about what happened to the children who went missing in his childhood. The tension continues to build as the clock ticks down to Kayo's imminent danger and Satoru's increasingly risky plans. Will he be able to save Kayo and alter the course of his own past?
