Firebreather is an animated action series from Cartoon Network that premiered in 2010. It tells the story of Duncan Rosenblatt, a teenager with a unique ancestry - he is half-human, half- Kaiju, a monstrous race of creatures that dwell beneath the Earth's surface.

Duncan has grown up trying to keep his Kaiju heritage a secret from his peers, but as he navigates high school and deals with typical adolescent struggles, he also struggles to deal with his own monstrous temper and the powerful abilities that come with his Kaiju bloodline. He is raised by his human mother, Jill (voiced by Dana Delany), who worries about his safety and fears that he will be hunted by the human governments who fear the Kaiju.

The show follows Duncan, voiced by Jesse Head, as he tries to balance his dual identity and navigate the complex world of high school. He has to contend with bullies, crushes, and the challenges of growing up, all while trying to keep his powers in check and avoid drawing attention to himself.

One of the key conflicts of the show is between Duncan's two parents - his mother, who wants to protect him and keep him hidden away, and his father, Belloc (voiced by Kevin Michael Richardson), the ruler of the Kaiju world who sees Duncan as his rightful heir and wants to train him to take his place.

Belloc is a powerful and intimidating figure, and his relationship with Duncan is complicated by his harsh methods and the fact that Duncan has never had any contact with his father until now. Dante Basco voices Kenny Rogers, Duncan's best friend and confidant at school, who is fascinated by Duncan's abilities and eager to help him in any way he can.

Tia Texada provides the voice of Isabel Vasquez, a tough and mysterious government agent hired to track down and capture the Kaiju, including Duncan. She becomes a recurring antagonist throughout the series as she tries to uncover the truth about Duncan's identity and his connection to the Kaiju.

Reed Diamond voices General Ross, the head of a powerful military organization tasked with protecting humanity from the Kaiju. His organization is responsible for capturing and studying the creatures, and Ross is desperate to use the knowledge he gains to create better weapons and defenses against them.

Amy Davidson voices Jenna Shwartzendruber, one of Duncan's classmates and his crush. She is unaware of his powers but is drawn to him because of his quiet and brooding demeanor. Their relationship is one of the main ongoing storylines of the series.

Firebreather is filled with action-packed battle scenes as Duncan fights off various Kaiju threats and struggles to control his own powers. The show explores themes of identity, family, and self-discovery as Duncan tries to navigate the complexities of his dual heritage and find his place in the world.

Overall, Firebreather is an entertaining and well-crafted animated series that will appeal to fans of action, drama, and superhero stories. With its compelling characters, engaging storylines, and high-quality animation, it is a must-watch for anyone who loves a good adventure.

Firebreather is a series that is currently running and has 1 seasons (1 episodes). The series first aired on November 24, 2010.
