Franklin and Friends is a Canadian-American animated children's television series produced by Nelvana and Neepawa Productions, based on the Franklin the Turtle children's book series written by Paulette Bourgeois and illustrated by Brenda Clark.

In season 1 episode 5, titled "Franklin's Special Job/Franklin Needs a Reminder", two different stories unfold.

In the first story, "Franklin's Special Job", Franklin is excited to be given a special job by Mr. Owl. Mr. Owl asks Franklin and his friends to create posters to advertise the upcoming school play. Franklin is eager to help out and immediately starts brainstorming ideas for the posters. However, he soon realizes that coming up with a great idea is harder than he thought. Franklin tries different approaches, but nothing seems to work. He becomes frustrated and starts to doubt his ability to complete the job. With encouragement from his friends, Franklin realizes that he just needs to keep trying and not give up. Eventually, he comes up with a winning idea that everyone loves.

In the second story, "Franklin Needs a Reminder", Franklin forgets to do his daily chores and is reminded by his mother to complete them before he can go out to play with his friends. Franklin's forgetfulness continues throughout the day as he forgets to do other important things. His friends notice that he seems distracted and suggest that he needs a reminder to help him remember his tasks. They make a list and hang it up in Franklin's room to help him stay on track. However, their plan backfires as Franklin becomes overly reliant on the list and forgets to think for himself. The gang comes up with a new plan to help Franklin remember things on his own and he learns the importance of being responsible and dependable.

Overall, "Franklin's Special Job/Franklin Needs a Reminder" teaches valuable lessons about problem-solving, perseverance, and responsibility in a fun and engaging way that children can understand and relate to.
