Ep 22. Bear and Prince

Mikan and Natsume decide to sneak into the Elementary School section of the academy, which is where all the younger students are. They run into Koko, who happens to be wearing a bear costume. It turns out that Koko is playing Prince in a school play and he needs help with his lines. Natsume begrudgingly agrees to help him out.

Meanwhile, Hotaru and Ruka are on a mission to find a rare plant in the forest. As they trek through the woods, they come across a strange man who warns them to turn back before it's too late. Of course, they ignore his warning and continue on their quest.

Back at the academy, Mikan is helping Koko with his lines but she soon gets bored and decides to explore the school some more. She ends up in a classroom where she meets a young girl named Yura. Yura is shy and doesn't have any friends, so Mikan decides to befriend her.

As the day wears on, Natsume realizes that Koko has no intention of memorizing his lines and sets out to teach him a lesson. Meanwhile, Hotaru and Ruka finally find the rare plant but their mission is interrupted when the strange man from earlier shows up again. He reveals that the plant they've been looking for is actually a deadly poison and he tries to warn them once again to turn back.

Mikan and Yura head to the auditorium to watch the school play. Koko is nowhere to be found and Yura is devastated that he won't be playing Prince. Mikan decides to take matters into her own hands and volunteers to play the role herself.

Natsume shows up just in time to watch Mikan's performance. He is surprised to see how well she handles herself on stage and even more surprised when Koko makes a sudden appearance. It turns out that Koko had planned the whole thing as a way to get Natsume and Mikan to spend more time together.

Finally, Hotaru and Ruka manage to escape from the strange man's clutches and return to the academy just in time to see Mikan's performance. As everyone celebrates, they realize that even the smallest acts of kindness can make a big difference in someone's life.
