Ep 2. Kuhn State Hospital

This is Ghost Asylum season 1 episode 2 named Kuhn State Hospital. Kuhn State Hospital, located in Vicksburg, Mississippi was established in 1910 and served as a mental asylum for over 60 years before being shut down in the early 1970s. The team of paranormal investigators from Tennessee Wraith Chasers get ready to investigate this abandoned and creepy hospital, as it is believed to be one of the most haunted places in the United States.

The team’s objective is to find evidence of the paranormal and help the spirits find peace by communicating with them. In the previous episode, the team developed a new device, called the ‘Toilet Cam’, that can capture images and sounds from a crack in the bathroom door which was used for observing patients in the Kuhn State Hospital.

As they enter the hospital, the team notices strange noises and shadows. They start investigating the basement, which was a dangerous area for both staff and inmates. The team decides to split up to maximize their search efforts and capture any paranormal activity on camera.

Chris, Doogie, and Porter head off to the basement and start searching for any supernatural activity. Chris, with his skeptical nature, questions every sound and shadow but eventually feels an unusual draft and notices a large number of orbs floating in the air which could indicate the presence of spirits.

Meanwhile, Steven and Brannon investigate the outside of the building and discover an old, abandoned church that once served the hospital. They immediately notice the K2 meter, which detects electromagnetic activity, start flashing and hear unexplained sounds. They capture some clear EVPs (Electronic Voice Phenomenon) which indicate that there might be some spirits around.

Then, the team meets with a former employee of the hospital who tells them about an inmate who died in the hospital and may still be there, along with the spirit of a nurse who committed suicide. This information keeps the team on high alert and they decide to explore the deserted rooms where the nurse's spirit is believed to reside.

As they continue to wander through the hallways, the team catches glimpses of entities moving around in the shadows, and these figures appear to be following them for a while. They hear chilling screams and unusual noises coming from the mortuary which is known to be one of the most active areas in the hospital.

The team decides to use their specially designed toilet camera in the mortuary to investigate, where they catch some strange and terrifying images of ghostly apparitions. Moving deeper into the mortuary, they find the morgue where the final resting place of many of the asylum's patients is located. The morgue is full of rusted tools and abandoned psych hospital equipment creating a haunting atmosphere.

The team then captures some more EVPs and decides to take a break. Later, while investigating the dining room, they see a ghostly figure who appears to be a woman looking at them from a distance. Determined to communicate with this spirit, they attempt to make contact using various paranormal techniques.

The team presses on through the empty and creepy hospital, guided by their gut instincts and the experiences that they have encountered. They capture more strange images, including some with light anomalies, which could indicate the presence of spiritual energy in the place. They move on and investigate other areas of the facility to capture any paranormal activity, such as the chapel, the lab, and the laundry room.

At the end of the episode, the team concludes that there are some powerful spiritual entities haunting the hospital. They vow to return and perform more investigations in an attempt to communicate with these entities get more information about the history of Kuhn State Hospital. The second episode of Ghost Asylum season 1 is a gripping and chilling show that combines history, mystery, and the paranormal.
