Good Luck Girl! Season 1 Episode 1 Round 1!

In Round 1!, we are introduced to the main character, Ichiko Sakura, a high school student who has everything going for her: good looks, top grades, and wealth. However, her good fortune comes from draining the luck from those around her, leaving them miserable and unlucky.

One day, Ichiko's luck attracts the attention of the gods, specifically the poverty god, Momiji Binboda. She is sent to balance Ichiko's excessive good luck by taking some for herself. However, Ichiko refuses to give up her good fortune and Momiji is forced to unleash her powers upon her.

The episode follows Ichiko as she is bombarded by various misfortunes, including tripping over her own feet, losing her phone, and losing her ability to speak properly. Momiji shows up in the form of a dog to continue her mission, but Ichiko refuses to give up her luck.

As the episode progresses, we see that Momiji is not the only deity that wants to put an end to Ichiko's hoarding of good fortune. A group of other deities, who suffered greatly due to Ichiko's actions, arrive to teach her a lesson.

Eventually, Ichiko is taken to the afterlife by one of the gods to see the consequences of her selfish behavior. She is shown the people whose luck she has drained, causing them to suffer or even die. This scene is a turning point for Ichiko, as she realizes the gravity of her actions and decides to change her ways.
