Good Luck Girl! season 1 episode 3, titled "Round 3!," follows the continuing misadventures of Ichiko Sakura, a high school girl with an overabundance of good fortune, and her unluckiest classmate, Momiji, a god of misfortune.
When Momiji becomes determined to take down Ichiko's incredible levels of good luck, she enlists the help of her fellow gods of misfortune to create items designed to bring balance to Ichiko's life. However, Ichiko proves to be a tough target, and when Momiji's attempts to use a cursed hairpin to sabotage her backfire, she ends up causing herself more trouble than she bargained for.
Meanwhile, Ichiko finds herself distracted by the return of her childhood friend, Keita, who seems to have developed feelings for her. Despite her initial reluctance to get involved, Ichiko finds herself drawn to Keita, even as she struggles to navigate her complicated feelings about him and her own good fortune.
As Momiji continues to plot against Ichiko, she finds that her efforts are complicated by fellow god of misfortune, Ranmaru. Despite their shared goals, Ranmaru has her own agenda, and her schemes threaten to derail Momiji's plans and bring chaos to the lives of everyone involved.
Amidst these struggles, Ichiko and Momiji must also contend with the arrival of a new god of misfortune, whose intentions are as mysterious as they are dangerous.
