Ep 13. Ben and Mike's Excellent Adventure

In Growing Pains season 5 episode 13, titled "Ben and Mike's Excellent Adventure," Ben is struggling with his feelings towards girls, as he starts to develop a crush on a girl in his class named Heather. Mike, eager to help his younger brother, encourages Ben to ask her out on a date. However, Ben is too nervous to do it himself and asks Mike to help him out.

Mike decides to take Ben out on an "excellent adventure" to help him build up his confidence and prepare him for his big date. The two brothers embark on a series of missions, including trying to win a stuffed animal at a carnival game, breaking into the school after hours to set up a romantic setting for Ben and Heather, and even sneaking into a fancy restaurant to teach Ben how to order properly.

As they work together to complete these tasks, they bond and have a series of heart-to-heart conversations about life, love, and growing up. Mike also shares some of his own experiences with love and relationships, giving Ben insight and advice on how to approach his own feelings.

Eventually, the big day arrives and Ben nervously goes on his date with Heather. As he talks to her, he realizes that even though he likes her, he may not be ready for a serious relationship just yet. Heather, understanding his situation, agrees to be friends with him instead.

The episode ends with Ben reflecting on what he learned from his "excellent adventure" with Mike, realizing that growing up and figuring out love is a journey full of ups and downs, but that he's grateful to have his brother by his side to help him along the way.
