Ep 7. Money No Object

In season 5 episode 7 of Highlander titled "Money No Object," we find Duncan MacLeod and his friend and fellow immortal, Methos, caught up in a dangerous game of intrigue and deceit.

The episode opens with Methos coming to Duncan's aid as he is being attacked by a group of armed thugs. After dispatching the attackers, Methos explains to Duncan that he needs his help recovering a valuable artifact. This artifact, a priceless antique Chinese vase, has been stolen from a wealthy collector, and Methos has been hired to recover it.

The two of them set out to track down the thief, and their investigation leads them to a wealthy businessman named Anthony Galen. Galen is a collector of rare and valuable artifacts, and he has recently acquired the vase in question. When Duncan and Methos confront Galen about the theft, he denies any involvement and instead implicates another wealthy collector, Ephram Stone, as the culprit.

Duncan and Methos investigate Stone's mansion and discover that he too has a collection of rare and valuable artifacts, but they do not find the vase. As they leave the mansion, they are ambushed by a group of Stone's henchmen and are forced to flee.

Back at their hotel, Duncan and Methos receive a call from Galen, who informs them that he has recovered the vase and is willing to sell it to them. Duncan is suspicious of Galen's sudden change of heart, but Methos is eager to acquire the vase and convinces Duncan to meet with Galen.

They arrive at Galen's luxurious penthouse apartment and are shown the vase. Galen then reveals that he has staged the theft and recovery of the vase as part of a plan to lure Duncan and Methos into his trap. Galen explains that he is a collector of immortals, and he intends to add Duncan and Methos to his collection.

A fight ensues, and Duncan and Methos are able to defeat Galen's henchmen. However, Galen reveals that he has one final trick up his sleeve: he has rigged the apartment with explosives and will detonate them if he dies.

Duncan and Methos are able to disable the explosives and escape the apartment just in time. As they make their way out of the building, they encounter Galen's associate, a fellow immortal named Korda. A fierce battle ensues, and Duncan is ultimately able to defeat Korda.

With the vase returned to its rightful owner and Galen and Korda defeated, Duncan and Methos reflect on the danger they faced and the lengths that some people will go to in their obsession for money and power.

Overall, "Money No Object" is an exciting and action-packed episode that highlights the dangers and challenges that immortals face in a world of greed and deception. Duncan and Methos once again prove their worth as skilled warriors and loyal friends, and the episode serves as a reminder of the importance of standing up to those who would use their power for personal gain.
