Ep 8. Haunted

In this episode of Highlander season 5, titled "Haunted," we see the return of the character of Marcus, an Immortal who is also a psychic. Marcus contacts Duncan MacLeod through his dreams, and appears to warn him about an upcoming danger.

Meanwhile, MacLeod is dealing with a new woman in his life, Marie, who he has been seeing casually. Marie is a scientist who is working on a top-secret government project, and MacLeod is surprised to find that he is becoming more invested in her than he originally thought.

As MacLeod tries to navigate his new relationship, Marcus continues to visit him in his dreams, warning him about a frightening dark cloud that is coming his way. MacLeod is unsure how seriously to take Marcus's warnings, but he begins to feel a sense of unease.

Eventually, it becomes clear that the danger that Marcus was warning MacLeod about is very real. A group of rogue Watchers, led by the sinister Kalas, are after MacLeod, and will stop at nothing to take him down.

MacLeod must work with Marcus, as well as some of his other Immortal allies, to fight off the threat and stay alive. Throughout the episode, MacLeod grapples with not only the physical danger he is in, but also his own feelings of fear and anxiety.

As the show comes to a close, we see MacLeod successfully fend off his attackers, but he is left shaken and questioning his future. This episode serves as a reminder of the constant danger that Immortals face, and the toll that it can take on their emotional wellbeing.

Overall, "Haunted" is a thrilling episode that showcases some of the best aspects of the Highlander series. It combines action, suspense, and character development to create a memorable viewing experience.
