Ep 29. Hair Extensions Fuel Broken Heart?!; Pool Guy Pushed Off Deep End!

  • October 10, 2019

Hot Bench is a courtroom reality show where three judges listen to cases presented by litigants and make a decision. Season 6, Episode 29, titled "Hair Extensions Fuel Broken Heart?!; Pool Guy Pushed Off Deep End!", features two different cases.

In the first case, the plaintiff, a hair stylist, is suing her former friend and client for unpaid hair extensions totaling over $4,000. The plaintiff claims that she spent hours carefully selecting and installing the hair extensions for her client, only to be stiffed on the bill. The defendant argues that the hair extensions were not what she wanted and that the plaintiff refused to fix them. She also claims that the plaintiff's mother (who is also a hair stylist) gave her hair extensions for free, making her owe nothing to the plaintiff. The judges listen to both sides of the story and try to determine whether the plaintiff's services were completed to the defendant's satisfaction and whether she owes the plaintiff money.

In the second case, the plaintiff is suing the defendant, a pool maintenance worker, for damages after she allegedly pushed him into the deep end of a swimming pool. The plaintiff claims that he was injured when the defendant forcefully shoved him in the water. The defendant counters that the plaintiff was acting aggressively and getting in her face, and that she only pushed him because she feared for her safety. The judges attempt to uncover what really happened and who was at fault for the incident.

As always, the judges on Hot Bench question each party thoroughly, using their legal experience to clarify the details of each case. By the end of the episode, they will make their ruling, and the parties will have to live with the outcome.
