Houdini is a made for television miniseries event chronically the life of famed illusionist and escape artist Harry Houdini. With Adrien Brody cast in the titular role, the series follows the life and career of Houdini from his beginning life of poverty and humble beginnings as an illusionist to his worldwide fame and admiration. The series focuses on his various encounters with celebrities and famed individuals throughout his life and career. The episodes also document his constant struggle to maintain a fresh, audience drawing act during changes throughout the world. The story takes the viewer through increasingly dangerous escape attempts while Houdini is trying to obtain his dream to become the world's most acclaimed magician. While continuing to achieve the most death defying stunts imaginable, the series also portrays his interaction with spiritualists and his eventual crusade to debunk them and expose them as frauds. In addition to his career as a magician the series explores his dabbling in espionage and his dealings with various figures throughout the world during this period in his life.
