Ep 1. Pilot

In Plain Sight follows the story of Mary Shannon, a United States Marshal genius who works in the Federal Witness Protection Program. Her job is to ensure that witnesses are kept safe and their identities are concealed from dangerous criminals who would otherwise put their lives in danger. In the pilot episode, Mary juggles work and life as she handles her difficult job while dealing with a troubled family life.

As the episode progresses, Mary juggles between helping Ericka settle in while dealing with her family. She tries to talk to her mother Jinx, who is an alcoholic and often incoherent. Mary's relationship with her family is strained and she doesn't have many friends outside of the office.

Mary's partner, Marshall Mann, offers some much-needed support and humor in her life. Marshall is a hilarious character and a loyal partner to Mary. He has a dry wit and adds a bit of comic relief to the show.

The pilot episode shows the difficulties of the job of a US Marshal and how it affects the personal life of those in it. Mary is tough, smart, and vulnerable all at the same time.
