Ep 10. Addicted Moms

In this episode of Intervention, titled "Addicted Moms," we witness the heart-wrenching stories of three mothers who have been struggling with addiction. Each woman has reached a breaking point in her addiction: they've lost jobs, alienated family members, and put their children at risk.

The first member of this trio is Rachel, a 38-year-old mother of two who has been struggling with alcoholism and prescription pill abuse for the past 15 years. Her husband, mother, and sister have all reached out to the Intervention team for help, hoping that they can save Rachel from self-destruction. Her addiction has caused her to lose her job and her home, and her husband has threatened to take their children and leave her if she doesn't seek help. Rachel is resistant to the idea of treatment, as she doesn't want to leave her children.

The second mother is 30-year-old Tia, who has been abusing methamphetamine for the past four years. She's lost custody of her 3-year-old child and is now living on the streets with a new boyfriend who is also a drug addict. Her parents have filed for guardianship over their grandchild, hoping to give the child a better life. Tia's parents are hoping that Intervention can help Tia see that she needs treatment if she wants to be a part of her child's life again.

The final member of this trio is Lisa, a 39-year-old mother of three who has been addicted to heroin for the past four years. She lost her job and home, leaving her and her children living in a motel. Family members have spoken up about Lisa's addiction, saying that they're worried she'll overdose and die if she doesn't get help. Lisa is aware of the impact her addiction has on her children, and she's ready to get clean to be a present and loving mother once again.

Throughout the episode, we see each woman's family and friends confront them about their addiction, share their fears, and ask them to seek treatment. We also see the Intervention team step in to offer professional assistance, arranging for detox and rehab centers to be available for each woman with 24/7 help.

The episode is both heart-wrenching and hopeful, as we see each mother confront the realities of their addiction and the impact it's had on their children. Through the help of family and the support of the Intervention team, each mother is able to make strides towards sobriety. We witness the difficulties and challenges of addiction and recovery, and the importance of support and love throughout the journey.
