The rebels agree to help Kino and the young girl escape, but they must first participate in one final battle. Kino agrees, knowing it is their only chance for freedom. The battle is intense, but Kino and the young girl emerge victorious. However, they are not out of danger yet.

Kino and the rebels use the secret entrance to escape the city, but they are pursued by the government's forces. They are ultimately saved by a mysterious figure who Kino has met before. With his help, they are able to escape safely and continue on their journey.
