Marvin the Tap Dancing Horse Full Episode Guide

  • Jack runs a contest a local grade school where a lucky student will get to be Eddys helper for a day. Things change when the winner turns out to be a kid-sized 80 year old crossing guard named Abner. Everyone treats Abner with kid gloves, much to his chagrin. Only Eddy treats him with the respect he deserves. / The carnival is putting on a show much like any other show... until those pesky penguins pilfer Elizabeth's juggling pineapples. This causes a chain reaction of mishaps, and the friends have to work together as a team to keep things running smoothly. The show must go on!

  • Hecklers unnerve Elizabeth (a couple of Lymans clowns) and she loses confidence in her juggling talent. She decides to leave the carnival for a while to find herself. She returns with plans for a production that will knock everyones socks off. / Stripes is named Carnival Act of the Year by a magazine. He gets even more full of himself than usual, until he finds out that they expect him to travel the world to promote carnival life. We soon find out that Stripes has a severe case of cold paws when it comes to trying something different and new.

  • Jack's got a beat up old wagon that nobody wants - until Eddy fixes it up as good as new, that is. Then everyone is clamouring to own it, arguing over who needs it the most, when the truth is none of them really need it at all. In the end Eddy gives it to a boy and his little sister, and the animals all have to agree that he made the right choice. / A friendly Russian bear named Boris has come to the carnival looking for work. Eager to perform, he tries imitating all the performer's acts, with disastrous results. Only when he realizes that he should develop his own unique talent instead of copying others does he embark on his own promising career as an opera singer.

  • Marvin is less than thrilled when his brother Clyde comes for a visit. You see, whenever they get together they have a race, and Clyde always wins, since he's a champion racehorse. Letting his competitiveness get the best of him, Marvin goes into frantic training instead of spending time with his brother. The race comes and Clyde wins again, but Marvin has learned that you can't be good at everything. / Diamond is in charge of planning a big party in appreciation for Jack. She soon learns that everyone has an opinion on how things should be done, and realizes she cant please everyone all the time.

  • Elizabeth's been shopping at the flea market, and this time she's accidentally bought an entire flea circus. Everyone is thrilled with the new act, except for Stripes. Attracted to his fur coat, the fleas have him scratching day and night. His friends must choose between the flea circus and the comfort of their friend. In the end they make the right choice and bid farewell to the pesky fleas. / Eddy and the gang are all excited about his staying overnight at the carnival, until Stripes tells a ghost story around the fire and unnerves everyone (except Eddy.) That night strange noises convince the gang that the spirit of the Jittery Juggler is haunting the grounds. Eddy must show them that the only way to defeat your fears is to face them!

  • Stripes adopts a baby duck named Olaf and soon becomes over protective of the little fella. Stripes learns that we cant control Mother Nature. / When Eddy squirts Marvin with a trick flower he starts a wave of practical jokes at the carnival. At first the tricks are amusing, but before long things escalate and soon everyone is bickering. Stripes' final joke backfires, leaving him stranded on the Ferris wheel, and he realizes that if you take practical jokes too far you risk losing your friends.

  • A beautiful dancing horse from Marvins past comes to visit. Eddy gets jealous as he feels that his friendship with Marvins is being undermined. / Eddy's home with a sore throat and his friends decide to pay a visit. They only want to help but their meddling and 'over-nursing' only seems to make matters worse. They finally realize that sometimes the best way to help a sick friend is to leave him alone and let him sleep.

  • Jack's going out of town and has decided to put Elizabeth in charge while he's gone. The responsibility goes right to her head, and soon Elizabeth is driving everyone crazy with her bossiness! When the dust finally clears she's learned a valuable lesson about listening to others. / Diamonds wins a contest to appear on her favourite soap opera, but soon develops stage fright. With the gangs support she makes her debut and steals the show.

  • When Jack begins to teach Eddy how to play football, Lyman Slime arrives to remind him how Jacks mistake back in High School cost his team the championship. Rallying behind the boss, Eddy and Marvin challenge Lyman and his clowns to a football game. / Edna joins the others singing along with the new karaoke machine, only her voice is so terrible it breaks glass. Soon she is planning to sing in the big show, and her friends don't have the heart to tell her how terrible her voice really is. When they finally do confront her it turns out her act isn't a singing act at all, it's a glass-breaking act, and it's a huge hit!

  • Eddy wants to be important and he decides that setting a world record for longest Ferris wheel ride will do the trick. During the ensuing publicity hoopla, he realizes that the wheel makes him woozy, but doesn't want to quit and let everyone down. Meanwhile the others are realizing just how much they need Eddy down on the ground, and Eddy learns that he is already a VIP - to his friends. / The drive-in is showing Marvin's very first movie, and Marvin is mortified. He was awful in that movie - young, inexperienced, and just learning to dance. When the film breaks Marvin must go on stage to entertain the crowd. He soon realizes that everyone has to start somewhere and he should be proud of his humble beginnings.

  • Eddy and Marvin are working on a magic act and they've asked Stripes to be their disappearing tiger. At first he's happy to oblige, but when Eddy won't tell him how the trick works he becomes fearful and quits the act. Stuck with penguins who won't do what they're told, the magic act is in big trouble until Stripes realizes that he should trust his friends and comes to the rescue. / It's the night of the annual Perseid meteor shower and Stripes is really looking forward to some quality star watching. He leads Marvin and Eddy on an expedition to Cranberry Hill to watch the spectacle, but they get rained out. Back at the carnival, Diamonds, Elizabeth and Edna have prepared their own planetarium show for Stripes in the big tent.

  • Elizabeth doesnt like to try anything new, but her friends talk her into trying out Jacks new hot air balloon. Unfortunately the balloon gets loose - with Elizabeth inside. Eddy and Marvin set out at full gallop to rescue her, assuming shell be terrified. When the balloon finally descends however, everyone is surprised to find that Elizabeth is deliriously happy and loved her adventure in the air. / The carnival has a mysterious new food vendor, Mr. P. Nutty. He never says a word and never takes off his peanut costume. When things start to go missing, the gossip begins and Stripes, Diamonds and Elizabeth soon believe all sorts of crazy theories about Mr. Nutty. In the end the thieves turn out to be some pesky squirrels, and the gang must apologize to Mr. Nutty for their suspicions.

  • When Jacks young niece Lucy, comes to visit the carnival, Eddy wants to get to know her but cant seem to overcome his shyness. Eddys self-confidence gets a boost when Edna gives him a special charm designed to help him impress Lucy. After losing the charm Eddy learns it wasnt through magic that he gained Lucys attention, but by something he had all along: his own inner charm. / Theres a new cowboy - a singin cowboy - in town, and Jack has hired him for the carnival. Eddy is so impressed by Frisco Frank and his horse Ricochet that Marvin starts to get jealous. Marvin becomes convinced that Eddy wants to leave the carnival to become a cowboy too. In the end however, Frisco Frank rides off alone into the sunset and Eddy assures Marvin that hed never leave the carnival ... and his best friend.

  • The gang decides to do an extra show on their day off to raise money for a snow cone machine. Lyman Slime sends over a sniffling, sneezing Itchy McTweed to make everyone sick so the show will be canceled. Sure enough, Marvin, Stripes, Diamonds and Elizabeth all come down with bad colds, but Lyman didnt count on Eddy taking over and doing the show on his own! / As his friends puppysit a lost puppy, Eddy fills in as a fortune-teller and promises a little girl that her biggest wish will come true. Marvin and Eddy must then run about trying to give the girl everything she could possibly wish for. It finally turns out that all she wanted was her lost puppy - the very puppy they found! Eddy manages to keep his promise about the wish, but everyone is sad to see the puppy go.

  • Eddy tells a story that leaves his friends with the wrong idea that his Grandmother is a stern and imposing figure. So when Eddy invites his carnival friends home to meet her, they try their best to make a good impression. Unfortunately, they try too hard and cause pandemonium at tea time. Eddys friends are afraid of Grandmas reaction, until they realize that shes actually very understanding and a lot of fun too. / Everyones been working very hard so Jack gives them a day off. The friends set off for a nice afternoon of fishing and picnicking. Instead of enjoying a relaxing holiday however, the friends cant seem to stop bickering and complaining. Finally, when a bear eats their lunch and they get rained out, they realize that the most important thing of all was just being together.

  • Overhearing innocent talk of cake and gifts and surprises, Marvin mistakenly assumes his friends are throwing him a surprise party for the anniversary of his joining the carnival. When the day comes and no party happens, a disappointed Marvin realizes he shouldnt have jumped to conclusions. Fortunately, Eddy is aware of his friends disappointment and throws him a wonderful last minute party. / When Marvin offers to teach Eddy how to dance, he quickly learns his friend has two left feet. Eddy becomes discouraged and wants to quit but Marvin keeps his spirits up and teaches him that youve just got to keep trying. Eddy finally masters the steps and performs with Marvin to the acclaim of his friends.

  • When everyone at the carnival share stories of fan mail theyve received, Elizabeth bursts into tears. She has never received a fan letter in her whole life! In an effort to boost her spirits, Marvin and Eddy forge a fan letter. The well-meaning deception goes awry when Elizabeth is determined to meet the author of her touching letter. In discovering its origin, Elizabeth learns that caring friends are worth more than fans any day. / A famous astronaut is scheduled to visit the carnival, and everyone attempts to create their most impressive act. Eddy suggests they just be themselves, but his message is lost in the excitement of space inspired props and costumes. In the end, there isnt anytime to perform for the astronaut, but they do have a brand new set of acts!

  • When Marvins old tape machine breaks, he promises his friends that hell find them a live band for their show. After a few phone calls, he locates a band - The Penguins Five! Unfortunately the birds turn out to be noisy and bothersome, and refuse to practice! Just when everyone has lost faith and expects them to fail, the band comes through, giving a brilliant performance. / Jack wants to make a television commercial for the carnival and asks Eddy to shoot it. Its a simple enough task, until the carnival animals start getting too hammy and stop listening to Eddys direction. When he gives up in frustration his friends realize what theyve done and rush to apologize for being so self-centered. Jack is left to make his own commercial his own way.

  • Stripes becomes obsessed with collecting bubble gum wrappers for a contest which boasts a fabulous prize. The others eventually figure out what hes up to and offer to help. By the time Stripes has collected all the wrappers he needs, everyone has chewed so much gum theyre sick of it! And after all their hard work, the fabulous prize turns out to be ... more gum. / Stripes runs away after Jack makes an offhand remark about a certain replaceable tiger. Concerned about Stripes and about the radio announcement that warns of a Bengal tiger on the loose, Marvin and Eddy set out to find Stripes and bring him back. Everyone is relieved when Stripes returns home and a lesson is learned about saying things that you dont mean.

  • Marvin and his carnival coworkers ask Jack to hire some much-needed help. When an eager, young boy named Eddy, comes along, Jack hires him on the spot. Marvin takes Eddy on a tour and introduces him to everyone, including Elizabeth the Emotional Pig, who accidentally breaks Ednas crystal ball. Luckily, Edna has a whole box of them and certainly doesnt need a crystal ball to predict that Eddy and everyone at the carnival are going to become great friends. / Diamonds gets amnesia after bumping her head and wanders into town. Unfortunately, she meets the unscrupulous Lyman Slime who convinces her that she works at his carnival. When Marvin and friends discover shes missing, they organize a search party. With the help of her friends, Diamonds regains her memory; if only now she could forget her stint as a Slime clown!
