In the seventh episode of Mekakucity Actors season 1, titled "Konoha's State of the World," the story delves deeper into the mysterious past and present state of Konoha, one of the main protagonists.

The episode begins with Konoha waking up in the hospital, disoriented about his surroundings. He has no recollection of how he ended up there, adding to his confusion and anxiety. As he looks around, he notices a peculiar book lying on the bedside table, its title inscribed as "Kagerou Daze." Intrigued, he starts reading its pages, hoping to find some answers to his amnesia and the bizarre events he's experienced recently.

Through a series of flashbacks, we are taken back to Konoha's childhood. Little Konoha was a shy and introverted boy who struggled to fit in with his peers due to his unique eye condition. Despite his difficulties, he finds solace in his love for literature, spending hours immersed in various books. One day, he encounters a girl named Shion, who shares his passion for literature and becomes his first friend.

Fast forward to the present, Konoha comes across another unexpected encounter with Shion. However, there is something peculiar about her; she appears to be older and vastly different from the girl he once knew. With her sudden appearance, Konoha's memories gradually start resurfacing, and he pieces together the fragments of his forgotten past.

Meanwhile, the Mekakushi Dan, a group of individuals with special eye abilities, is desperately searching for Konoha, as he holds one of the key pieces to the mysteries surrounding their intertwined destinies and the enigmatic phenomena known as the "Kagerou Daze." As they race against time to find him, they stumble upon a shocking revelation that connects Konoha's missing memories with their own powers.

As Konoha continues reading the "Kagerou Daze" book, he becomes immersed in its dark and mystical narrative. Each page reveals a tale that mirrors the events happening around him, leaving him questioning the boundaries between reality and fiction. He starts to realize that the world he believed to be real might be nothing more than a construction, and his existence may be an embodiment of the story within the book.

As his friends and the Mekakushi Dan close in on him, Konoha must confront his fears, confront his lost memories, and ultimately make a choice that will determine the fate of everyone involved. The episode showcases the fragile yet resilient nature of human connections, the power of memories, and the capacity for self-discovery in the face of adversity.
