In the final showdown, the Power Rangers manage to destroy the device that Rita had been using to control the Green Ranger. The spell is broken, and Tommy is restored to his senses. He is horrified to discover what he had been doing under Rita's control, and he apologizes to the Power Rangers for his actions.
