In this episode of A Moveable Feast with Fine Cooking, host Pete Evans heads to the Midwest to explore the culinary scene in Wisconsin and Michigan. The first stop is at a historic farm in Wisconsin, where they meet up with Chef Tory Miller. Tory takes them on a tour of the farm, showcasing the fresh ingredients that he uses in his local and sustainable cuisine. He then prepares a delicious meal with grilled pork chops, roasted potatoes, and a cherry and bacon jam.

Next, Pete heads to Traverse City, Michigan, to meet up with Chef Jennifer Blakeslee, who is the owner and head chef of The Cooks' House. Jennifer takes them foraging in the woods, where they gather wild mushrooms and other ingredients for a stunning dish of pan-seared Lake Michigan whitefish with wild mushroom ragout.

Finally, Pete and Jennifer travel to the Old Mission Peninsula, where they visit Chateau Chantal Winery. There, they meet up with Chef Reuben Rosales, who prepares a succulent dish of roasted lamb with parsnip puree and a red wine reduction. They enjoy the meal while taking in the stunning views of the vineyard and Lake Michigan.

Throughout the episode, viewers get a taste of the unique flavors and ingredients that make the Midwest such a special region for food lovers.
