As the sun sets on a quiet evening, Rikuo and his friends are spending time together, but the mood is quickly shattered when a strange dog starts howling in the distance. Upon investigation, they discover that the noise is coming from an abandoned ruin not far from their location. Despite Rikuo's worries, his friends are eager to explore the ruins and they decide to venture inside.
Once there, they find themselves surrounded by a group of yokai, and are soon trapped in a deadly game of cat and mouse. The group quickly realizes that they are not alone, as they come across multiple traps and obstacles scattered throughout the ruins. With danger lurking around every corner, Rikuo resorts to using his yokai powers to protect his friends and find a way out.
As they make their way deeper into the ruins, they encounter a powerful yokai who reveals the source of the strange howling they heard earlier. The evil dog, known as Inugamigyobu Tamazuki, has been summoning yokai to the ruins in an effort to bolster his own power and take over the surrounding territory. With his army of yokai at his side, Tamazuki seems invincible, but Rikuo is determined to stop him.
A battle commences, with Rikuo and his friends fighting against Tamazuki and his army of yokai. The battle is intense and grueling, with both sides sustaining significant damage. Despite the odds, Rikuo is able to draw on his inner strength and power up, revealing his true form to his friends for the first time.
Together, Rikuo and his friends are able to defeat Tamazuki, saving the surrounding town from his evil plans. However, it is clear that this is only the beginning, as there are still many powerful yokai out there who would challenge Rikuo's authority and threaten the safety of the community.
As the group exits the ruins, they reflect on the experiences they've shared and the strength they were able to draw from one another. With Rikuo as their leader, they know that they can take on any threat that comes their way.
