Ep 7. Darkness Moves On the Night of the New Moon

On the night of the new moon, a stirring wind twirls around the streets of Ukiyoe town and the yokai begin to move restlessly. Nura, who is half yokai himself has to confront the issue that he has some yokai in his own clan who are not happy with his leadership and want to overthrow him.

In the meantime, a new character is introduced- the legendary yokai hunter, Rikuo's distant cousin, Gagoze. His arrival is said to stir up trouble and he's not welcome in the clan, but Nura's grandfather reveals that Gagoze is the only one capable of restraining Nue, the beast of Nura's clan.

The tension between Rikuo and Gagoze reaches a boiling point, and Gagoze challenges Rikuo to a fight. Things take a dark turn when Gagoze unveils his secret weapon- a darkness infused scythe that allows him to surpass his limits on a full moon. Despite this disadvantage, Rikuo accepts the challenge on behalf of his clan and takes on Gagoze.

The battle between the two is intense, and Rikuo is pushed to his limits. Meanwhile, Nue has awoken and begins terrorizing the town, causing chaos and destruction. The fear and devastation caused by Nue confuses most yokai and they begin rampaging about. It's up to Rikuo to pull himself together and take control of the situation.

Using his wits and strength, Rikuo manages to get a grip on Nue, but things don't go as smoothly as planned. The darkness within Nue is stronger than ever, and it's looking more and more like Rikuo might not be able to hold Nue together on his own.

Despite the odds against him, Rikuo refuses to give up, and he fights fervently to bring the beast under control. As the night draws to a close and the moon begins to set, the yokai re-enter their slumber. The battle comes to an abrupt end as the Nue disappears.

In the aftermath, Rikuo is declared the winner of his battle against Gagoze. But as the dust settles, it's clear that Nura's leadership is still in question, and turmoil continues to stir within his own clan. The darkness lurking in some members of the clan continues to grow, creating an uneasy tension between them. Despite this, Rikuo stands strong and ready to face whatever challenges may come next.
