In the eighth episode of season one of Odd Mom Out, titled "Staffing Up," Jill Weber (played by Jill Kargman) finds herself overwhelmed as she looks for a new nanny for her children. Her current nanny, Vanessa, is leaving to start her own business, so Jill has to scramble to find a replacement before the summer ends and her children go back to school.

Jill's search for a nanny leads her to a number of interesting candidates, including one woman who suggests that Jill's children could benefit from a vegan, raw food diet and another who promises to perform Reiki on the kids. Jill is skeptical of these candidates, but ultimately ends up hiring a nanny named Amanda who seems like a good fit. However, Amanda quickly reveals that she has a hidden agenda and things start to unravel.

Meanwhile, Jill's sister-in-law, Brooke (played by Abby Elliott), is dealing with her own staffing issues when she takes over planning a society event that her boss is unable to attend. Despite her inexperience, Brooke is determined to put on a great event and enlists the help of her mother-in-law, Candace (played by Joanna Cassidy), to get it done. Candace is initially hesitant to assist Brooke, but eventually agrees and the two women start working together.

As the episode progresses, Jill and Brooke's storylines intertwine as they both struggle with managing their staff. Jill discovers that Amanda is a gossip and shares private details about her family with the other nannies in the park, while Brooke deals with a snarky event planner who insists on using a tacky themed decor.

Tensions rise as Jill and Brooke try to navigate their respective staffing issues, but ultimately they both learn valuable lessons about communication and trust. By the end of the episode, both women have resolved their problems and are better equipped to handle future staffing challenges.

"Staffing Up" is a humorous and relatable episode that touches on issues faced by many working parents and employers. It highlights the importance of finding the right staff and maintaining open lines of communication with those who work for us. With strong performances from the cast and witty writing, it is a standout episode in the first season of Odd Mom Out.
