Panic 9-1-1 is a true crime series that is produced by Sirens Media for the A&E network. Each hour long episode features dramatic re-enactments and real audio playback from emergency calls that are placed to 9-1-1 operators. In this heart pounding series the unrehearsed and urgent calls between emergency dispatchers and hysterical callers are played in real-time. As the life and death situation unfolds, ever horrifying moment is caught on tape. Panic 9-1-1 brings a stark reality into everyone's worse fear, to be threatened with deadly violence and having no idea what to do or how to escape it. In these calls, the 9-1-1 operators are trained to handle any emergency situation that is presented to them; but these extreme calls require immediate help which the operator cannot provide. Each episode features at least three real 9-1-1 calls that have a common thread to them. These episodes can include armed intruders, robberies as they are happening, personal relationships that have taken a deadly turn, road rage or random crimes of violence. These life threatening scenarios feature common everyday people that are suddenly confronted with unexpected terror and lethal violence. The episode begins as soon as the dispatcher picks up the line. The clock starts ticking down and every second matters. With the caller's life in their hands, dispatchers gather the critical information and relay the information to the proper first responders while trying to coach the caller on how to stay alive. As the emergency call is played, re-enactments help show the terrifying story as it unfolds. Each episode also includes interviews with responding officers, the dispatcher, witnesses and in some cases the victim. At the end of episode it is revealed if the victim was able to survive the ordeal.
