Pit Boss is a docudrama series that airs on Animal Planet. The show follows Shorty Rossi, a little person, who is the owner of two thriving businesses. One of Shorty's businesses is a talent agency for little people called Shortywood Productions. Shorty formed this company, not only to help with his own acting aspirations, but also to give other little people a chance to follow their dreams of success in acting. The other one of Shorty's businesses is non-profit organization that is close to his heart. Shorty's Rescue rescues Pit Bulls and helps get them in to loving and safe homes. Shorty's Rescue also helps to educate the public about this oft misunderstood breed. Shorty Rossi's personal life is also covered on the show Pit Boss. Shorty spent a number of years in prison due to the poor decisions he made during his youth, a fact he discusses candidly on the series. Upon his release from prison, Shorty decided to turn his life around and become an actor. He also decided to dedicate his life to helping out Pit Bulls, a breed that he credited with saving his life and giving him the unconditional love he didn't get from his family while growing up. Shorty is helped in his various endeavors by three of his employees Sebastian, Ashley, and Ronald. Sebastian and Ronald are actors who also work in Shorty's office and go out on Pit Bull rescues with him. Ashely is a comedian who isn't 100% comfortable with the large dogs, but helps out as she knows their needs are great. Shorty has a number of falling outs with his crew in the series, but they always come together in the end due to mutual respect and a need for all of them to be working together in order to make Shortywood Productions and Shorty's Rescue successful. Though Shorty and his crew often find themselves in dangerous situations on the show while rescuing Pit Bulls, they continue on knowing how many dogs need their help in the Greater Los Angeles, CA area.
