Ep 7. Like It or Lup It

Ash and his friends arrive in a new town, where they hear about a competition involving Pokemon trainers and a mysterious and rare flower called the Float Grass. The winner of the competition will be given a chance to see it. They meet a girl named Marissa who introduces them to her father, a flower shop owner named Old Man Swamp. They speak to him about the competition and he reveals some information about the Float Grass and also mentions that someone has been trying to steal it from his store.

As they explore more, they find out that there is a Pokemon called Lickilicky who has been stealing the Float Grass flowers. Lickilicky uses its long tongue to snatch flowers from the stores and gardens in the town. The Pokemon leaves a trail of saliva that Ash and his friends follow to find its whereabouts. The gang then meets Lickilicky and tries to approach it. However, the Pokemon is quick to attack and soon they find out that it is under the control of a thief.

Ash and friends try to chase after the thief with the help of Old Man Swamp, but they fail. The thief is fast and skilled in avoiding them. Meanwhile, the group discovers that Lickilicky has been stealing to lure a wild hippowdon out of hiding. The hippowdon, angry at being disturbed, poses a threat to the town. Ash and the others decide to help Lickilicky by catching it. They come up with a plan to lure the Pokemon out of the hiding place with some Float Grass.

They successfully catch Lickilicky in a net, and with its help, they are able to lure the hippowdon away from the town. They free Lickilicky and explain to it that they were only trying to help. The Pokemon understands and becomes friendly with the gang. Ash and his friends figure out that it was Team Rocket who was behind the whole plan. They try to capture the Pokemon, but Lickilicky and the hippowdon join forces to take them down. After Team Rocket is defeated, Lickilicky decides to become Old Man Swamp's pet. The gang then continues their journey with a new Pokemon by their side.
